Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Greetings! It is my pleasure to serve as Alpha Chi's Chapter President for 2020-2021 year. Since my initiation in October of 2018, I have found AOII to be my home away from home. It's the white house across from Snell Hall, the women who've made me laugh until I cry, and the sisters whom I have no fear to call on that have made an impression on me that will truly last a lifetime.

The tagline of our fraternity is Inspire Ambition. It's no mystery that spending a short amount of time amongst our women will truly inspire you. In an organization of 150 women you will find a singer, a dancer, a leader, a news broadcaster, a photographer, a fierce politician, a painter, a style icon, a nurse, a doctor, a friend, but most importantly a sister. While we each have different past times and maybe different interests, we all hold true to the ideals which were set forth by our lovely founders 125 years ago; character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. It is the spirit of these ideals which have allowed our organization to rise to meet and exceed expectations since its inception in 1965, and the reason why I and so many others, love Alpha Omicron Pi.

Someone very wise told me that there is one thing in this world you can hold to be true, "Great things never come from your comfort zone." In reflection of my experience within this organization, and amongst 150 women that I find myself inspired by every single day, there is no expression truer than this. In three years I’ve grown from a freshmen girl trying to find her way amongst the thousands of students on WKU’s campus, into a confident young woman. From the moment I decided to go through recruitment, and push myself out of my own comfort zone, great things have never stopped coming my way.

With that I welcome you to our website! From the lovely ladies of Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Chi Chapter at Western Kentucky University:

Roses,
and ROLL TOPS!
